Shop Policies

Want to know what's going on? Come by and check out the shop blog! I'm always updating and will soon have dyeing tutorials, free patterns and a customer gallery up. Come on over and say hello!

Welcome

Hi and thank you for looking at my stuff. I've been an artist for many years and have used many different mediums to express myself. Hand painted yarns become hand painted items, it's art that undergoes a transformation as it passes from my hands to yours. I would be thrilled to have my yarn chosen as the catalyst to your next work of art.

Payment

I accept and prefer PayPal for accounting purposes (you don't need an account with PayPal in order to pay me), but will gladly accept a US Postal Money Order. WV residents must pay sales tax. Payment can be mailed to:

Lizard Toes 21 Arbor Ct Harpers Ferry, WV 25425

Please be sure to include a list of what you'd like to order or email me and let me know what you're ordering so I can have it ready to go when your payment arrives.

Shipping

I ship usually within 3 business days, and send all packages First Class. See the Shipping page for a more detailed explanation of charges.

Refunds and Exchanges

I use everything I sell myself, and I won’t sell anything that doesn’t meet my high standards. I stand behind everything I sell 100%. If for any reason you’re not happy with your purchase simply send it back and I’ll either replace it or refund your money, your choice.

Colors!

About my dyeing process:

I use only professional dyes and professional techniques in my yarns and fibers. I mix my own colors from a small pool of primary colors and I’m very much a free spirit type of dyer. I believe in letting the medium tell me what it wants to do, instead of the other way around. I don’t take notes so the chances I’ll repeat a colorway are slim to none. If you see it and you want it, you might want to get it while you can ;)

About color accuracy:

Monitors, cameras and individuals all vary in how they see color. There are so many variables that can affect our perception of color that it’d take a 5 page essay just to touch on them all and how they alter our perception. Both of my monitors are professionally calibrated to display color true to life. Most monitors come calibrated from the factory, however, your monitor may display colors more or less vivid or a shade or two lighter or darker, warmer or cooler, than the colors truly are. Please keep this in mind when you order. I photograph under full spectrum lighting against a white background and make every effort to ensure the colors are displaying true to life on both monitors before I post the photos on the listings.
